How it Works
Contact Pardee Hospital Foundation to share your interest in donating real estate
Owner obtains an appraisal of the property to determine its fair market value. This helps you determine the amount of your charitable tax purposes
Property is assessed to meet gift acceptance policies
Contact Pardee Hospital Foundation and your attorney to transfer the property ownership through deed execution, title transfer, beneficial designation, or other necessary requirements
Retained Life Estate Donation
Benefits
Significantly supports the mission of providing quality regional healthcare
Allows you to donate property during your lifetime and still enjoy use of it
You may receive an immediate tax deduction for the value of the charitable gift
Terminate the life estate at any time and take an additional income tax deduction
Any unused deduction may be carried forward in subsequent tax years, for up to 5 additional years
You may also reduce estate taxes and probate costs when your estate is settled
