Since opening in 2016, the Pardee Comprehensive Cancer Center has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to thousands of individuals across Western North Carolina. Each year, more than 1,000 newly diagnosed patients begin their cancer journey with us — and the number continues to grow.
Our infusion center currently treats about 36 patients each day, and on our busiest days, that number can rise to more than 50. As patient volumes climb, we’re reaching the limits of our existing space.
Expanding our center means shorter wait times, more comfort, and a healing environment that reflects the exceptional care our team provides.
Thanks to a timely opportunity to lease new space within the Health Sciences Building, Pardee is expanding to create More Room for Hope — adding vital space for treatment, education, and support.
This expansion will include:
10 New Infusion Bays — allowing more patients to receive treatment each day, with greater privacy and comfort.
A Large Conference Room — a welcoming space for support groups, survivorship programs, and community education.
A Dedicated Pharmacy Room — improving safety, efficiency, and access to infusion medications.
Relocated Offices — freeing space on the main floor for direct patient care.
This project adds critical capacity without the cost of new construction — ensuring donor dollars make an immediate, tangible impact.

2026: Opening of a new Outpatient Infusion Center in Brevard, adding 8 infusion bays.
2028: Planned Mills River Cancer Care location to bring treatment even closer to home.
Future growth: Investment in next-generation radiation therapy and expanded breast imaging services to provide comprehensive care under one roof.
