| A Season of Renewal and Celebration Dear Friends,
Spring is finally here, bringing with it the promise of renewal, warmth, and the shedding of winter’s grey. This season is not just about nature’s rebirth—it is also a time to reflect on our collective resilience and the strength of our community.
At Pardee Hospital Foundation, we are embracing this spirit of renewal as we prepare for two of our most anticipated events: the Spring Soiree and the She Slays 5K.
Excitement is building as our dedicated staff, volunteers, and committees work tirelessly to bring the Spring Soiree to life on April 11th at Kenmure Country Club. |

This elegant evening is more than just a celebration—it is a vital fundraiser that directly supports UNC Health Pardee. At the heart of the event is the announcement of the 2025 UNC Health Pardee Physician of the Year, presented by First Citizens Bank, and the Foundation’s Philanthropist of the Year, honoring those who make an extraordinary impact on local healthcare. Tickets are going quickly, and a limited number of sponsorship opportunities remain. We are also actively collecting auction items—if your business would like to contribute, we would love to hear from you!
Give us a call at 828-233-2700.
Following the Soiree, we will turn our focus to the She Slays 5K on April 26, now in its second year. This powerful event unites our community in the fight against cancer, supporting programs that help women access life-saving care while celebrating the strength of cancer survivors. If you have not yet registered, now is the time! The deadline to purchase a commemorative She Slays 5K T-shirt and yard sign tribute is fast approaching—do not miss the chance to honor a loved one while making a difference.
Coming up this week is our complimentary Planned Giving Seminar on Thursday, March 20th. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from two local experts in estate planning as well as trust and estate (probate) administrations. We have a few seats left. Drop us a quick email to let us know you are coming.
As always, we are deeply grateful for your support. Whether you attend an event, sponsor a program, or simply spread the word about our mission, you are a vital part of the Foundation’s work.
Thank you for standing with us as we celebrate resilience, renewal, and the power of community. |

Members of the Moving Mountains Giving Society recently attended a special reception hosted by the Pardee Hospital Foundation. There, they heard firsthand from hospital leadership about recent accomplishments and plans for UNC Health Pardee. This annual gathering is an opportunity for committed donors to see the impact of their generosity in action and engage in meaningful discussions about the hospital’s evolving needs.
During the event, hospital leaders updated attendees on key initiatives and highlighted how donor support helps drive advancements in patient care, technology, and community health programs. |

"Bringing our Moving Mountains Society donors together with hospital leadership is invaluable, " said Amy Treece, Executive Director of Pardee Hospital Foundation. "It creates a space for meaningful dialogue, where our most dedicated supporters can hear firsthand about the impact of their generosity and the future of healthcare at UNC Health Pardee. These connections strengthen our shared commitment to advancing excellence in patient care and innovation." Having a small-group setting encouraged thoughtful conversation, allowing attendees to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the hospital’s priorities in a relaxed and personal atmosphere. By joining the Moving Mountains Giving Society, donors help provide critically needed, unrestricted funds that allow UNC Health Pardee to respond swiftly to emerging healthcare challenges. In appreciation of this generosity, members are invited to special events like this, where they can connect with hospital leaders and see firsthand how philanthropy shapes the future of local healthcare. If you believe in the power of giving to strengthen our community’s healthcare, we invite you to be part of Moving Mountains. |
