June 2025

Dear Friends,

As we soon turn the page on another fiscal year, I am filled with gratitude for the many ways you continue to stand with us in support of compassionate, community-focused healthcare. Your generosity, partnership, and presence have fueled another season of real impact. Each gift, volunteer hour, and act of advocacy make a tangible difference for those we serve.

In this month's issue:
We offer a heartfelt thanks to several dedicated board members whose terms have come to a close. Their leadership helped steer us through a time of great change and continued recovery, and we are deeply appreciative of their service.

We also celebrate the remarkable generosity you have shown toward our ongoing Essentials program. Because of you, three high-priority needs are being met with excellence, innovation, and care. Be sure to check out the list below and help us move these additional needs to the FUNDED column.

At the same time, we are energized by new opportunities on the horizon. With your continued support, UNC Health Pardee is poised to introduce Aquablation therapy, a breakthrough in men's health for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

This will be the only robotic-assisted Aquablation program in Western North Carolina. We see it as just the beginning of a renewed and expanded commitment to men’s health and wellness across our region.

We also have a sweet new partnership in play. We’re proud to announce that UNC Health Pardee is teaming up with the Hendersonville Honeycrisps to be the medical provider for the ball club. There is a celebratory event on the horizon. Read more below and save the date!

We have a terrific update below on Circle of Caring, a growing initiative that empowers Pardee Teammates to pursue or expand their healthcare careers while staying rooted in their community. Whether supported by our physicians or you, our donors - it is one more way your support builds stronger systems from the inside out.

We could not pass up the opportunity to share what it meant for the Foundation to partner with Pardee Cancer Center recently on a first-of-its-kind Survivors event, an uplifting celebration of the full circle of support that surrounds every patient, from care teams and medical professionals to loved ones, families, and donors.

And for those looking to get involved, there is still time to join the most meaningful - and fun -volunteer tradition in Hendersonville: the annual Women Helping Women Luncheon. Whether you lend a hand or attend with friends, this beloved fall event is not to be missed. Check out the volunteer opportunities below and get in touch!

Speaking of Women Helping Women, we are excited to share the first of what we hope will be several cornerstone events supporting the program, a benefit concert at Point Lookout Vineyards on Friday, September 6th at 6 pm. Look for details soon!

Thank you for walking alongside us. It is a privilege to dedicate ourselves each day to advancing healthcare excellence, right here at home.

In grateful partnership,

Check It Off the List:
Donors Help Fulfill Top Hospital Needs Through Essentials Program

Since launching the Essentials campaign earlier this spring, Pardee Hospital Foundation is pleased to share that donors have already stepped up in powerful ways, fully funding three critical items on the hospital’s priority list.

Thanks to your generosity, the Foundation has secured funding to purchase:

  • A Hoyer Patient Lift, which helps safely transfer patients with limited mobility
  • A Premier Double-Door Refrigerator for medication and vaccine storage in clinical care areas
  • An Industrial Hospital Dryer, ensuring linens, blankets, and patient gowns are processed efficiently and hygienically

These may not be flashy purchases, but they are deeply important. Each item helps improve comfort, safety, and care for patients while also supporting the work of Pardee’s healthcare teams behind the scenes.

Opportunities remain to contribute to several additional items still awaiting funding:

  • Centrella Smart+ Hospital Beds - Therapeutic smart beds with advanced fall prevention features
  • Vital Sign Machines, used to monitor heart rhythms and support fast, accurate cardiac care
  • Patient Medical Recliners for infusion and treatment areas, designed to offer better support and long-term comfort during extended procedures

Donors can choose to underwrite a full item or make a contribution toward the cost. Every gift, no matter the size, helps check another item off the list, and brings us one step closer to meeting essential needs with excellence.
