Every Heartbeat Matters:
Celebrating Heart Health Month Together

February is Heart Health Month, a time to focus on the importance of cardiovascular health and the steps we can take as a community to prevent heart disease and stroke.

We are proud to stand with UNC Health Pardee at the forefront of life-saving care, ensuring that our neighbors, friends, and loved ones receive the best possible treatment when it matters most.

In 2024, UNC Health Pardee was ranked the #1 hospital in North Carolina for Stroke Care for the second consecutive year, an honor bestowed by Healthgrades, the leading resource patients use to find top-performing hospitals. This recognition is based entirely on patient outcomes, underscoring the exceptional care provided by our dedicated healthcare professionals.

This distinction also reflects the power of community support. Your generosity fuels our ability to deliver leading-edge care and enhances programs that promote health and wellness throughout our region. Together, we are making a measurable difference in the lives of those who depend on Pardee.

Heart Health Month serves as a vital reminder that we can all take steps to protect our hearts. From adopting healthier habits to staying informed about risk factors, there is much we can do to reduce the prevalence of heart disease and stroke in our community.

In addition to supporting life-saving care, your financial contributions allow us to take a proactive approach to health, helping to build a future where more of our friends, neighbors, and loved ones can enjoy longer, healthier lives.

As we celebrate Heart Health Month, we are also excited to update you on recent and upcoming events and initiatives to keep you engaged with the work of the Foundation. From community outreach programs to our Spring Soirée and other signature events, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.

One particularly meaningful way is to honor your physician by nominating them for the 2025 UNC Health Pardee Physician of the Year Award.  Look for more information below and be sure to submit your nomination by this Friday, Feb. 28th.

Thank you for being a part of this mission. Your support inspires us to continue striving for excellence in care and to provide hope and healing to all who walk through our doors.

In partnership,
