Pardee Hospital Foundation hosted the 3rd annual Volunteer Appreciation Drop-In Social on Friday, February 15th. An Orthopedic program on Fragility Fractures was presented by Dan Hein, Service Line Director for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Keith Maxwell gave an informative presentation explaining patient characteristics and criteria they must meet to be in the fragility fracture category. Dr. Maxwell announced plans to have a Fragility Fracture Clinic in the near future, located near Pardee’s main campus.

Karla Reese, Director of Volunteer Services, presented a program on Infection Prevention. Barbara Morgan founder of Project Dignity of WNC spoke about her organization.

The volunteers were treated with great food, education and fellowship thanks to the generosity and support of the foundation.
