Pardee UNC Health Care is proud to introduce the Volunteer Patient Safety Attendant Program.

This program is designed to support the clinical staff as they provide for the safety and well-being of our patients. We have an increasing number of patients in the Pardee  Hospital Emergency Department who need extra support, and we are asking our community to help those who are most vulnerable.

Pardee is looking for compassionate, caring, personable and reliable volunteers to become Patient Safety Attendants. These volunteers will operate under the direct supervision of the patient’s nurse or charge nurse.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent, ability to read and write, and interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of patients. Prospective volunteers must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Volunteers will need to be on call for specific blocks of time at their convenience.
