We invite you to recognize your doctor and support your community’s health by honoring your favorite physician or physicians’ group. What a great way to say THANK YOU by making a tribute gift to
Pardee Hospital Foundation commemorating Doctors’ Day.
Because of the generosity of our donors, the Foundation is able to fund the things that make Pardee Hospital an award winning medical facility and rated among the highest in the United States. Pardee is providing state-of-the art medical care with more than 266 physicians, and 37 medical specialities.
100% of your charitable gifts to the Foundation will be used to save lives through the purchase of life-changing medical equipment and programs that help Pardee Hospital provide compassionate care for you, your family, your neighbors and your friends.
The Foundation will send your doctor a special tribute card in your name. Your personal note can also be added.
Doctors’ Day was first observed March 30,1933 in Winder, GA. Eudora Brown Almond, wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond suggested the date as it commemorated the first use of ether as a general anesthesia in surgery by Dr. Crawford Long in 1842 in Jefferson, GA, allowing Dr. John Collins Warren to surgically remove a tumor from a patient’s neck. In 1990, the United States Senate and House of Representatives designated Doctors’ Day a national holiday to be celebrated each year on March 30.
Thank you for honoring your medical caregiver on Doctor’s Day – there is no deadline – any day is a great day to say “THANK YOU!”
